Cassia falls into the trap of King Varen. From now on, she has only two options: make a deal with him or die. Now, the girl must find the cure for the disease, gaining the support of Captain Elander.
The mission initially seems simple: investigate the origins of the terrible plague that has befallen the empire, find a cure, and put an end to it.
However, in a land of ancient magic and gods, things are not so straightforward.
