On a frosty Christmas morning, a mother finds her daughter on the porch - with her throat slit, in a pool of frozen blood. Who needed to kill Marissa, the beautiful and frivolous burlesque dancer?
Still reeling from a previous heavy... investigation, Detective Erika Foster dives headfirst into a new case. Surveillance footage shows a dark figure with a masked face attacking Marissa. Soon it becomes clear that a tall man in similar attire is attacking the residents of a suburb of London. Now Erika has a lead.
However, as the character of the young victim unfolds, the case becomes more convoluted: Marissa was too ambiguous a person. And although Erika needs to focus all her efforts on catching the killer, she soon finds herself distracted by her own problems...
