28 years, every summer

Jake and Mallory met at a beach cottage during a friendly party and as a result of a chain of mini-catastrophes ended up spending the weekend together. Perhaps it is love - for it is so easy for them to be together, and they can tell each other everything: about their troubles, dreams, and even about Jake's upcoming wedding. Therefore, they decide to meet every year, at the same time and in the same place - like in an old movie.
But nothing lasts forever, and Mallory's diagnosis may mean that their twenty-eighth summer meeting will be the last.
