The varied tasks in the manual, selected considering the... age characteristics of 6-7-year-old children, will help: develop the skill of fluent reading in children; diversify the types of work with text; introduce children to theoretical concepts in their active vocabulary such as "sentence", "word", "syllable", "sound", "letter", "stress"; expand their active vocabulary, improve the grammatical construction and cohesive speech of children; enhance children's skills in working with word diagrams; teach children to provide basic characteristics of sounds in the Russian language (vowel and consonant sounds, hard and soft consonants, voiced and voiceless); continue work on developing writing skills.
