The Overcoat and Other Stories in English

We present to your attention a collection of stories by one of the most famous Russian classical writers, N. V. Gogol. The edition includes stories related to the "Ukrainian" period of the author's work — "May Night, or The Drowned... Maiden" and "Viy", as well as those from the "Petersburg" period — "The Nose", "The Overcoat", "Notes of a Madman". The selected works depict two worlds described by Gogol with inexpressible humor and deep sadness — the colorful simplicity of a Ukrainian village and the dark fantasticality of life in the capital city of St. Petersburg.
