Hooligan Stories. Adapted Reading in German

Ludwig Thoma (1867-1921) — a German writer who depicted the everyday life of Bavaria at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries in a realistic form.
The Thoma family had seven children, and one of the writer's best works, «Hooligan... Stories», is based on his childhood and school memories.
Thoma wrote so engagingly about the pranks of little rascal Ludwig that for 100 years, the book has been read by new generations of not only children but also adults.
The purpose of the manual is to teach reading German texts, analyzing them, and developing practical skills in spoken German. The book consists of 10 chapters, and after each chapter, there are exercises to control comprehension and develop communicative skills. The texts of the stories are adapted for an intermediate level of language proficiency.
