Jack Reacher, a former military police officer and once a damn good investigator, is arrested by the FBI on suspicion of murdering two women. Both served in the army, sued for sexual harassment, and both had to resign. They were... found dead in their own homes, and the circumstances of their deaths were quite strange. Furthermore, in both cases — no signs of forced entry into the home; the victims let the murderer in themselves. There are no signs of violence or struggle, and there is no evidence either. The FBI agents created a psychological profile of the criminal, and in their opinion, Jack Reacher perfectly fit this role, as he had known both women personally.
