Developing Reading Skills for Ages 5-7

Dear parents and educators! It is well known that reading is the foundation of a child's successful learning at school. However, good reading technique is not just about speed. It is important for reading to be smooth, literate, and error-free,... so that the child understands what they read.
The words on each page are connected by a certain syllabic structure and sound content. For the child to develop proper reading skills, they must be exposed to each type of word, hear and understand their melody and rhythm.
By working through this workbook, children will learn to identify vowel sounds in words, determine the first and last sounds in a word. The workbook practices the skills of identifying sounds in words in order, finding missing letters, composing words from syllables, and solving anagrams - all of this is required from a student already at the initial stage of learning.
The workbook is designed for joint work between parents and children. It can be used in speech therapy sessions in preschool educational institutions, as well as in Russian language lessons in elementary school.
