Oksana Akhmedova is a well-known amateur in the Russian running community, a participant and winner of numerous marathons and ultramarathons, and a holder of the Six Star Finisher medal.

Her book is not only about effective training and competitions but also... about how a passion for running can easily turn into an addiction – how an initially healthy undertaking sometimes turns into a desire to break oneself in the pursuit of "the best version of oneself."
