It seems robbing a bank wasn't the best idea. And the thought of eating that spicy burrito for breakfast wasn’t great either. "Alright, Guy, let's not deal with everything at once. Let's solve problems as they come. Yes, you messed...
up, but there's no point in dwelling on it now. Perhaps you still have a chance to get out of here.""All rise! Court is in session! – announced the secretary. – The case of "Novaland vs. Guy Johnson" is now being heard. Civil case number 1:11-00028." The prosecutor is serious: "I know that Guy Johnson is guilty, and my job is to prove it to the jury!"– What? What does this prosecutor think of himself?
– Everything should be fair. I messed up, and I deserve it.
– I'm definitely going to prison, I'm definitely going to prison... I'M DEFINITELY GOING TO PRISON!!!!
– Quiet! The session is starting. About the Game"Voices in My Head" is a board game for 3 to 6 players with asymmetric secret roles. Well, or almost secret since one of the players takes on the role of the prosecutor, whose task is to prove Guy Johnson's guilt, while the other players act as the voices in the defendant's head, each pursuing their own goals, known only to the player themselves. How to Play?At the start, players receive role cards containing the goal they must achieve by the end of the game to win. There can be multiple winners, including the prosecutor, whose goal remains unchanged – to lock Guy Johnson behind bars. The game board represents different areas of Guy's brain, over which players will fight for control by placing their influence tokens on them (including the prosecutor). This will allow them to influence the jury and the course of the trial in general. The game lasts for 8 rounds, after which the session ends and the judgment card is read. The prosecutor has a screen behind which they hide the court cards from the other players. These contain a brief text of the court proceedings along with several possible outcomes and symbols of the brain areas responsible for the decision-making of the specific card. First, the prosecutor selects the court card to play but does not read the text on it, then names the players which symbols of brain areas are indicated on it.Once all players have moved their control tokens, the prosecutor reads the text from the chosen court card. These cards allow influencing the jury by placing guilt or innocence tokens on them. Usually, this action can be performed by one who controls a specific area of the brain. Control is determined by the total value of all the player's control tokens in the chosen area. After playing, the court card goes to the discard pile, and the prosecutor draws a new one. Behind their screen, there are always 3 open cards from which they can choose which one to play.Who Won?As mentioned earlier, there can be multiple winners. Each voice in Guy's head pursues its personal goal, such as controlling the most brain areas, and ensuring that Guy is accused of a crime. Or they may not have control tokens at the end of the game, and want Guy to be acquitted.
