About the author: Christi Watson is a British writer and professor of medical humanities who worked as a nurse for 20 years. Her book The Language of Kindness, published in 2018, became a Sunday Times and Amazon bestseller and was named book of the year by Evening Standard, Guardian, i, New Statesman, The Sunday Times, and The Times. It has been translated into 23 languages and adapted for the theater. About the translator: Elena Lisnelevskaya is a doctor. In 2013, she graduated from the Belarusian State Medical University with a degree in Medicine. She completed her internship in Pathological Anatomy at the Minsk Regional Pathological Anatomy Bureau, where she still works today. She worked in general pathology for 6 years, then moved to oncomorphology, the new department which she currently heads. She has been engaged in medical translation since her third year of university.
