My Sweet Angel

The confidence that life only begins after enduring suffering has played another cruel joke on 44-year-old Maxim, a successful restaurateur from Moscow. He learns that he has cancer and that he has less than a month to live. Maxim knows... all too well what death is - during the Chechen war, a military surgeon miraculously brought him back from the dead, who later became a friend. Maxim has no wife or children, so leaving everything behind, he returns to the Crimean town of Sudak, where he was born and once happy. There, he meets the very surgeon who unexpectedly became the priest of the local church and the very one for whom it is worth living!
