Old Vlagovki: a novella

The purpose of literature is to depict human life and within it - before ideas and theories - the characters, the unique individuality of a person shaped by time and environment.
Vladimir Avdoshin succeeded in portraying the character of Lida Vyphina.... Through her, an entire generation emerges, having raised children during the difficult 1950s of the 20th century. «Roll up your sleeves, Vasilievna!» - encourages herself the heroine, and together with her, we cast aside the superficial layers and gaze into the natural flow of life, recreated in precise details and specifics.
You might say - but this is realism and not magical at all. However, the pendulum of literary art has swung in this direction.
