History in Verse. Rurikids

In poetic form, the history of the Russian state is presented briefly, clearly, and in an accessible language. This book covers the period from the 9th century (the emergence of the state in Rus) to the early 17th century (the end of the Time of Troubles). During this period, there is a constant struggle of a multi-ethnic people, of the state's leaders for its prosperity and development. However, they often have to fight for the very existence of the country. Harsh natural and climatic conditions, constant external threats, and the overcoming of internal contradictions - all this requires a strain of the physical, intellectual, and spiritual forces of the people. Particularly difficult was the period of the so-called Mongol-Tatar yoke, which lasted two hundred and forty years and had a profound impact on all aspects of the people's life. Having gone through severe trials, the people emerged victorious. From the beginning of the 17th century, the possibility of rapid, peaceful development, the exploration of inexhaustible natural resources, and all-round prosperity of the state appears. However, obstacles to this will still make themselves known.

This book will help the reader to quickly and effortlessly familiarize themselves with the events of Russian history, as the verses are relatively easy to read.
