What is growing up? Not a game of adulthood, although that is also discussed in this book, but a journey through the childlike greed for attention, the explosive period of teenage rebellion, categorical thinking, the painful experience of shattered expectations... and unfulfilled hopes, through the acute emotionality of first loves and the fickle, fragile attitude towards love, family, parents, friends, and oneself. This collection of poems reflects the path of self-discovery through battles, experiencing the states of check and checkmate, sometimes on horseback, sometimes under the horse. Each of us is familiar with these states, regardless of gender, racial characteristics, and social status. And no matter how much we lock ourselves in darkness and loneliness, denying ourselves love and value, there is always a way out to the light and inner radiance.
