«And Again Me...» is the second collection of poems by Anna Nimus and, without exaggeration, the lines included in it are just as hypertrophically poetic. Each poem is filled with emotion, it strikes at the very heart, forcing you to...
read it over and over again. Her Garden of Tales and Nightmares is torn between the ideal of spiritual beauty and the beauty of vice, the poet is tormented by a sense of duality and a thirst for death.
A poet must, is obligated to be sad and unhappy. This is scary, attractive, and at the same time repulsive, you want to grab him and explain what is right. The poems are on the edge, turning everything inside you inside out, tying the soul in a sailor's knot. Whimsical images, unnatural ones, close to hallucination and revealing a secret desire for impossible innovation; but we, for our part, prefer their liquid simplicity over the imagined poetic works, where the patterns of petty triviality and silly sentimentality are embroidered with the faded wool of hackneyed commonplaces: wreaths of large roses, green leaves like cabbage, kissing doves.
Sometimes we are not afraid to buy something rare at the cost of awkwardness, fantasy, and exaggeration.
