The near future. The Third World War has raged on Earth. Russia, having remained among the victors, has once again been named Rus and, in order to avoid past mistakes, lowered the iron curtain between itself and the rest of... the world. The Orthodox Church has come to power, restoring spiritual ties and traditional values to its people. There is no more alcoholism and drug addiction, unemployment and crime, debauchery and immorality. But as is known, the prosperity of some is always paid for by others. This is not a narrative about a great struggle and an inevitable victory; it is a story of ordinary people caught in the millstones of History.
