This is the story of the fateful love of Heathcliff, the adopted son of the owner of the "Wuthering Heights" estate, for the owner's daughter, Catherine. If old Earnshaw had known what would befall his family by taking in the boy from the streets, he would have run away from his estate as far as his eyes could see.
