On Mystical Anarchism.

"On Mystical Anarchism" is a brochure by Georgy Chulkov with an introductory article by Vyach. Ivanov, published by "Fakelami" in 1906. This unsuccessful and exotic manifesto marked the beginning of a party consisting literally of two people - the authors... who attempted to politicize the poetry of the symbolists. We included in the collection an article by Dmitry Filosofov titled "Mystical Anarchism" - one of the comprehensive reviews of the Chulkov-Ivanov publication. Filosofov, of course, criticizes the use of "sobornost", recounting the time when such "ideas were in the air". In addition to the obvious outrage, there were also charming responses, one example being an announcement looking for a companion by a "mystical anarchist", which we have featured on the cover of this book. The publication is preceded by an article by Alexander Markov, in which he helps the reader understand the reactions and context, and to learn more about Georgy Chulkov.
