Reading in English. Russian Fairy Tales

The books in the Reading in English series are designed to help children improve their foreign language skills and expand their vocabulary. The books are intended for children who already have basic knowledge and skills. Parallel reading helps to better... understand the structure of the English language, the peculiarities of sentence construction, grammar, and to develop language intuition. This method allows reading texts even of a fairly high level of complexity without unnecessary strain. Unlike regular reading of texts in the original language, children do not have to constantly distract themselves from the story to find an unfamiliar word in the dictionary. The plots of the fairy tales collected here are well known to children, and the texts are specially adapted. At the end of each book, there is a dictionary of difficult words with transcription.
