Boundless Love

In this issue of our series, the Russian reader will become acquainted with the legacy of Archim. Lev (Zhille; 1893–1980), one of the brightest and most inspiring Orthodox theologians of the 20th century. A Frenchman and a Catholic by birth,... he once discovered Orthodoxy, which fully preserves the preaching of the Universal Church, its clearest and unclouded image. His remarkable books astonish the reader with expressive and poetic language, that fiery flame of faith which always testifies to the unforgettable personal Meeting that lies at its foundation. Several short texts, interconnected in one way or another, are dedicated to the testimony of God's boundless Love, as if the fire of the Unburnt Bush is constantly warming us. Immersion into the fiery images and the associated meanings of Sacred Scripture brings us, following the author, to a meeting with the vivifying scorching mercy of the Lord.
