Jack Reacher, a former military policeman, travels all over America after being discharged, enjoying his freedom. But his savings are running out, and he stops in a resort town to replenish them—during the day he digs pools, and in the... evening he works as a bouncer in a bar. One day, this measured life is disrupted by a private detective—it turns out that a certain lady from New York is looking for Jack.
