Robotics for Young Programmers and Designers: mBot and mBlock

The book is based on the author's experience working with children in grades 3-8 and is dedicated to creating gaming projects with mBot robots and compatible devices based on Arduino controllers. As the book progresses, the complexity of the gaming... projects increases, opening up an exciting world of modern robotics for the reader. The structure, assembly, and control of robots via smartphone and tablet are discussed. Special attention is given to programming in the mBlock environment, which is based on the well-known Scratch environment, for the autonomous operation of robots and games with them. Methods for enhancing the capabilities of the basic robot model using extensions and addons from Makeblock and compatible electronic components from third-party developers are explored.
