The Road

Cormac McCarthy — a modern American classic of the highest caliber, recipient of the MacArthur Fellowship "For Genius", a master of complex experiences and unconventional syntax, well known to our readers for novels such as "No Country for Old Men",... "Blood Meridian", and the "Border Trilogy" ("The Crossing", "Cities of the Plain", "Sodom and Gomorrah"). But the loudest success awaited the master’s later novel: "The Road" won the Pulitzer Prize and conquered all conceivable bestseller lists.
