Jorge Luis Borges is one of the most famous writers of the 20th century, greatly shaping the face of modern literature. Umberto Eco, in his essay on Borges' influence, formulates the main principle of the works of the great Argentine:... «Books talk to each other». Borges himself wrote: «Someone takes pride in every book they have written, I take pride in any book I have read». In numerous interviews, Borges referred to himself not so much as a writer, but as an attentive, grateful reader.
