Arkady Petrovich Gaidar 1904-1941 - a Soviet writer, author of children's books Chuk and Gek, Timur and His Team, The Drummer's Fate, and others, who participated in the Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. He dreamed of going to the front... and fighting, like his father. A.P. Gaidar was only 14 years old when he became the commander of a detachment. In 1922, he was demobilized from the ranks of the Red Army. A.P. Gaidar's first work was published in 1925. It was the story In Days of Defeats and Victories. Since 1932, the writer worked as a special, and later a military correspondent in various newspapers and magazines. Many of A.P. Gaidar's works entered the school curriculum and found their readers in different countries of the world. The story The Blue Cup was written by A.P. Gaidar in 1936. By telling about one of the days in the life of a family consisting of a mother, father, and their daughter Svetlana, the author shows how important it is to trust loved ones, not to take offense unnecessarily without understanding the reasons. The story teaches to be attentive to family members, help friends, and be fair in any situation.
