Writing Exercises for Children with Disabilities

Writing is a skill that is difficult for children to master. Without special preparatory work, not every typically developing child can master it right away, let alone a child with disabilities. Special studies show that mastering the skill of writing... in children with disabilities is associated with difficulties due to underdevelopment of gross and fine motor skills, weakness of emotional-volitional regulation, etc. This writing exercise is structured so that an adult educator or parent can organize the process of preparing the hand of a child with disabilities (speech disorders, developmental delay, behavioral disorders) for mastering writing skills, taking into account the educational needs of children in this category.
