Dysgraphia: Learning to Distinguish Letters

This manual presents a system of corrective exercises for overcoming optical dysgraphia. This type of writing disorder is one of the most common in elementary school and can manifest in letter distortions, omissions, or repetitions of elements, as well as in mirror writing of similar letters. The tasks in this practical workbook are aimed at differentiating similar-letter pairs. We have proposed types of exercises for distinguishing such pairs: a-o, i-u, p-t, b-d, p-r, k-n, l-m. The manual contains a selection of materials for correcting writing, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Primary Education, the main educational programs in the Russian language, and speech therapy correction programs. The manual is intended for speech therapists in various types of special schools, as well as general education schools, teachers of primary grades, and parents of children with predispositions to dysgraphia or persistent written speech disorders. The work with the workbooks can be conducted in group sessions and individually.
