Chronosys

Using the comic as a medium-supercollider that allows for maximum abstraction, in Chronosys artist Keith Tilford, philosopher Reza Negarestani, author of Cyclonopedia and Intelligence and Spirit, and Robin Mackay create a universe that is stunning in its graphics and exploding with concepts, where worlds of pop culture, contemporary art, philosophy, science fiction, and theoretical physics collide with each other. A strange entity wanders through the multiverse, appearing in various guises, inflicting trauma on anyone who encounters it – be it Jeremy Charles, an Earth merchant of paranoid cosmic visions, or the interplanetary order of Laskar, intent on expanding its galactic empire at the expense of Earth. This entity is Time itself, and with its birth begins Chronosys. Only the ascetic order of Monazzeins, who exist nowhere and never, have managed to subjugate Time, attempting to build bridges between the many fragmented tribes and histories of multiple possible worlds. A unique intertwining of comic culture and philosophical thought, this conceptually and visually mind-expanding story will take the reader on a dizzyingly twisty route through time, space, and thought.
