In Moscow, Sniper spent his childhood and youth — and it is precisely here that this veteran of many battles in different worlds returns, either taking a break for some rest or perhaps deciding to retire altogether. But the capital... is no longer what it used to be. The city streets are filled with advertisements for a trendy gadget — the neurophone, and the residents of the city, charmed by enticing slogans, do not notice how their everyday life is slowly being replaced by augmented reality. What could be wrong with a person trading their gray routine for a bright, adventure-filled life, even if it is not entirely real? However, Sniper suspects that the new technologies are not as harmless as the manufacturers of neurophones claim. But then who and why is so persistently promoting unsafe gadgets for people in the market? And what price will users have to pay for artificial happiness?
