Returning home from work by bicycle, Debbie accidentally knocks over a passerby. Fortunately, there are no serious consequences, except for the acquaintance, a gift in the form of a new bicycle, and an invitation to dinner. Debbie, a modest English... teacher in Cambridge, is enchanted by the handsome and courteous Italian Pierluigi and his stories about his native Florence — the city of her dreams. What if this is a sign of fate and after a long solitude, Debbie has finally met the man she dreamed of? However, soon Pierluigi has to return to his homeland. The short romance is over, but the desire to see Florence (and perhaps her beloved) does not leave Debbie — and here she is on the banks of the Arno, under the luxurious Florentine sky, and come what may, for the dream has already come half true...
