Kiyoshi Mitarai is summoned for a duel. An intellectual duel in the form of an unusual puzzle. The challenge was thrown down by Takehiko Furui, a professor of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tokyo, who is confident that he can outsmart the famous detective. The dispute ignited over the extremely strange notes of a man named Tota Misaki, who has been obsessed with the novel "Tokyo Zodiac" since childhood. Misaki dreamed of repeating the experiment from the book: creating a new person from different bodies. He describes how he fulfilled his dream, having experienced a series of utterly impossible adventures beforehand. How he witnessed the beginning of the end of the world. How he found himself among people who spoke in numbers. How he met humanoid animals. Finally, how a dinosaur… bit off his hand, which then grew back, though much shorter than before. Furui has no doubt: the notes are the product of monstrous mental damage, and he takes it upon himself to diagnose them. However, Mitarai believes otherwise: the seemingly mad events actually took place. Now it needs to be proven. And even his friend Isioka thinks it is impossible… Who will win this game?
