«Trial 1920» —...
is a duel board game where you will need to use evidence cards to place 3 tokens in a row in the courtroom before your opponent to win the hearing, however, the opponent may not believe that you have the necessary evidence, and then the advantage will be on their side.
«Trial 1920» is based on mechanics familiar to everyone from childhood: "tic-tac-toe" and "I believe - I don't believe", and there are also special effects that can affect the course of the game. This combination of mechanics makes the game interesting and simple at the same time.

How to play?
The game lasts for 3-5 rounds, hearings. Each hearing consists of several turns. Players take turns.
On their turn, a player sequentially performs 3 actions.
1. Draw an evidence card (mandatory action).
The player draws one evidence card from the stack.
2. Place a statement token (optional action).
The player indicates which cell they would like to place one of their statement tokens in. A token can be placed in the evidence area or in one of the districts to apply its effect. Theoretically, to place a token, the player must have the combination of cards indicated on the selected cell, but bluffing is allowed in the game.
When the player indicates a cell, the opponent can say: "No objections" or "I protest!". If the opponent does not object, the active player places their token in the chosen cell and applies its effect if it is a district cell. If the opponent protests, the active player must prove they were telling the truth or admit they were bluffing. If the player told the truth, they show and discard the required cards and then draw the same number from the pile. If they were bluffing, they do not show the cards and do not discard them, but also do not place their token. Instead, their opponent places their statement token in any unoccupied cell of their choice (in the evidence area or in the district area, applying its effect).
3. Discard evidence cards (if necessary).
If the player has more than 4 cards in hand, they must discard the excess down to a hand limit of 4 cards.
If a player places 3 of their tokens in a row, they win and place their hearing token on the hearing counter.
As soon as one of the players wins 3 hearings, they win the trial and the game!
