Will it be enough for a gryphon?
You are in a magical store buying...
fantastic creatures. Buying a creature means collecting 2 cards with coins (not 3, but exactly 2) whose sum equals the price of the creature. It is suggested to master the game in sequence: from simple options to more complex ones.
The game offers the following versions, each with a specific level of difficulty:
— training version;
— basic version;
— advanced version.
1.Training Version
Player's task: Be the first to get rid of the cards.
Players take turns. On their turn, a player can take one of three actions: make an advance payment, complete a purchase, or skip their turn.• To make an advance payment, the player lays down a card with coins next to the chosen fantastic creature. The player’s turn ends here.• To buy a creature for which an advance payment has already been made (perhaps by another player on another turn), the player lays down a card with the missing number of coins. The player then takes the creature card for themselves, and the spent cards with coins go to the discard pile. After the purchase, the player gets a bonus opportunity to lay down another card with coins: as an advance or a new purchase. After this, their turn ends. If the player has no option to lay anything down, they draw a card from the deck, and their turn ends. The number of open creatures is replenished to three, and the turn passes to the next player.
End of the game: The game ends when one of the players has managed to get rid of the coin cards – they are the winner.
2.Basic Version
Player's task: Buy as many creatures as possible.
All players act simultaneously – the goal is to complete the purchase faster than others by matching the open card to the value of one of the creatures (image). To match, one of your cards in hand must be laid down, and you shout the price of the creature. Whoever does this first takes the creature card for themselves, and the cards with sums (coins) go to the discard pile. After this, replenish the open creature cards on the table to 4, and your hand to 3. Again lay down one coin card, and everyone starts looking. Special cards (only for advanced version) are marked in the lower left corner with a snail or a cheetah. They take effect immediately upon being opened and remain active until any creature is purchased (not necessarily marked) according to the following rules: snail image – helper card means that while the player with the least number of victory cards hasn’t made a purchase, the others stay silent and do not act. Cheetah image – stopper card means that the player with the most victory cards stays silent until someone makes a purchase.
End of the game: The game ends when there are 3 creature cards left on the table, and it is not possible to replenish them to 4. Count the number of purchased creatures. Whoever has the most, wins.
3.Advanced Version
Player's task: Buy as many fantastic creatures as possible.
Start laying down small cards from the deck to the table one by one (make sure everyone can see well, and the hands of the person laying cards do not cover them). All players act simultaneously. As soon as someone sees that there are small cards laid out from which a creature can be bought, they immediately shout its price and show with both hands the corresponding coin cards. If everything is correct, the player takes the large card for themselves, and the small cards go to the discard pile. Important! If a player makes a mistake in calculations and cannot identify the correct cards, they must remain silent until someone else makes a purchase. Important! If several players see the needed cards, the right to show them goes to the one who shouted the number first. Then, place a new card in the place of the large card and continue playing.
End of the game: The game ends when two cards are open, and it is not possible to replenish to 3. Count the number of purchased creatures. Whoever has the most, wins.
