Your Grandfather Vasya

Ten days before the start of the Great Patriotic War, unfamiliar armed men burst into the home of an ordinary peasant family. Without explanation, they deport Vasya and his family from Bukovina (formerly Romania) to the Far North. Vasya's granddaughter, Anna Rakhmanko, learns about this tragic episode of family history only many years later from her cousin Lyuba, who experienced exile as a child. Lyuba speaks about the fates and hardships of people who were involuntarily found in the far north of Siberia and tries to understand why they had to live so long with the stigma of being enemies of the people.
