Pirouette

"Pirouette" is a graphic memoir by 22-year-old American comic artist, former professional figure skater Tilly Walden. From an early age, she was involved in figure skating, but the exhausting schedule, bullying at school, difficulties in communicating with her parents, and... challenges in sexual self-identification forced the 15-year-old girl to dare to make radical changes.
In 2018, "Pirouette" was awarded the Will Eisner Award, making Tilly the youngest recipient of this prestigious award.
"Pirouette" is primarily a coming-of-age comic. Don't let the "18+" label mislead you; it has been assigned solely because the comic addresses the theme of LGBTQ relationships.
