Modern Technologies for Bone Tissue Defect Replacement

Currently, there is a clear trend towards the implementation of a new wave of fresh knowledge, ideas, and technologies from various fields of science into clinical practice — anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, materials science, genetics, immunology. Already now, the results... of this synergy are widely used in healthcare institutions — collagen biomimetics, hyaluronic preparations, PRP, SVF, and terms such as “human-derived medical products,” “medical products for therapy with somatic cells,” “biomedical cell products,” “combination drug products of advanced therapy,” “gene therapeutic drugs,” etc. have entered medical terminology. A collective term “biomedicine” has appeared, denoting a direction that emerged at the intersection of two sciences — medicine and biology. This development of traumatology and orthopedics is taking place steadily and dynamically. New methods, while in no way canceling previous approaches to treatment, harmoniously complement them. The authors believe that modern trauma surgeons-orthopedists need to orient their development towards acquiring basic knowledge of the physiology and regeneration of connective tissue.
