Alan – a screenwriter and the brain center of the company "New Reality", producing all the best shows on domestic television.
One day, they receive an amazing order from domestic oligarchs. They want to improve their media image and evoke not... hatred among the common people, but at least understanding, if not respect.
This is how the quiz "Who Wants to Beat Millionaires" and a reality show under the working title "Prince and Beggar" emerge.
The ideas are approved, the scripts are written, the money is transferred, and the oligarchs for the pilot episodes are secured – it seemed that everything was going according to the time-tested scheme.
But Alan is unaware of the entire background of the mysterious offer from the oligarchs.
Very soon, the situation spirals out of control, and reality intertwines so closely with fiction that separating them from each other becomes virtually impossible.
