On the way to their dreams, New Age religion followers dug tunnels in the foothills of the Italian Alps over 14 years, creating 8500 cubic meters of tunnels — and never got caught by the authorities; Lester Hemingway invested money earned from the biography of his famous brother into creating New Atlantis; Henry Ford established Fordlandia in Brazil (what wouldn’t you do for discounts on rubber); in 1971, in the center of Copenhagen, a group of anarchists founded the Free City of Christiania (and still live there); another 26 teams of enthusiasts created their own microstates, albeit existing for a short time, but surely made it into history.
