Volkonskoite — is a paint made from a unique dark green pigment with a pistachio hue, which is only mined in Russia, in the Ural Mountains. The mineral can be found in various shades from dark green to bright green. Artists appreciate this paint for its transparency along with its pure color and uniqueness of shade.
Particular attention should be paid to the history of the creation of the paint Neapolitan Yellow, which was initially created by order of the State Hermitage for the restoration of Rembrandt's painting "Danaë." The golden rain falling at Danaë's feet was restored using Neapolitan Yellow from the Artistic Paint Factory.
