Mera is a teenager and the heir to the throne of Xebel, a colony of Atlantis. She is being betrothed to the prince, who will become the new king of Xebel. But Mera does not desire this fate, and when the Xebelian military decides to free the country from the oppression of Atlantis, she seizes the opportunity to take control of her own destiny. To do this, she needs to kill Arthur Curry, the long-lost prince and heir of Atlantis. But this mission suddenly proves to be impossible: Mera and Arthur fall in love with each other. Will Arthur become king with Mera, or will he die by her blade when she attempts to free her people?
