White Nights

This collection includes two early novellas by Dostoevsky - "White Nights" and "Netochka Nezvanova", which are considered the most poetic works of the great novelist.
."White Nights" is one of the best works of the "sentimental naturalism" school, according to the critic Apollon Grigoriev. It is a lyrical confession of a dreamer hero, a lonely and timid person, in whose life a girl appears for a while, along with her the hope for a brighter future.
."Netochka Nezvanova" is a novella originally conceived by the author as a novel, where the plot is based on the story of a little girl's life. Netochka is also a dreamer character; she dreams of living in a large beautiful mansion that she sees from the window of her attic room. However, upon finding herself in it, Netochka faces a reality that turns out to be not so beautiful…
