English Folk Tales

This manual presents English folk tales adapted for beginners studying the English language. In adapting the plots, the stories were slightly simplified, but the rich imagery and stylistic richness of the English folk folklore language were preserved as much as possible. The texts of the tales are accompanied by page-by-page commentary, as well as exercises aimed at working on vocabulary, grammatical structures, checking comprehension, and developing speaking skills. At the end of the book, a dictionary is provided.
The collection is aimed at students of grades 5–6 of secondary schools, lyceums, gymnasiums, as well as a wide range of individuals studying English independently or under the guidance of a teacher.
