In April 1992, a young man from a well-off family hitchhikes to Alaska, where he lives in complete solitude, hunting and foraging for food in an abandoned bus - in completely wild conditions. The true story of Chris McCandless became... known worldwide thanks to the skill of renowned writer Jon Krakauer and the brilliant adaptation by Sean Penn. The famous actor and director read the book in one night and then spent 10 years obtaining permission from Chris's family to make the film, which subsequently received numerous awards and is rightfully considered a cult classic. The abandoned bus in the middle of Alaska became a true mecca for travelers, and Chris himself became an idol for young opponents of grey office life and material values.
