The Man in the Queue

In the queue for theater tickets, a man suddenly dies. At first, those around him think he has fainted, but soon it becomes clear: he was killed by a dagger blow. The problem is that no one saw the criminal, and the victim himself seems to be erased from life — without documents, without identifying marks on his clothing, without people who would come looking for him. The investigator has to reconstruct the events of the evening, check testimonies, compare seemingly random details, and find out who the deceased was and why his death was so carefully concealed.
