Women

Henry Charles Bukowski entered history as one of the iconic American writers of the 20th century. Ninety-nine out of a hundred of Bukowski's works are autobiographical. Henry Chinaski — the writer's alter ego, his lyrical anti-hero, who became the main character of this novel.

Chinaski's love odyssey is filled with revelations, sexual scenes, and self-irony. His women, bursting onto the pages of the novel, have sex with him, cheat on him, confess their love, and destroy his home. He takes them to the races, to fights, brings them along to literary readings, and drinks a lot. He endlessly loves his women, admires them, and roughly yet sincerely appreciates them.
