The Sicilian

The action takes place in 1950. Michael Corleone must help Salvatore Giuliano leave Sicily and reach America, but the path to this goal quickly turns into a chain of hidden negotiations, checks, and dangerous meetings. Giuliano — is not just a fugitive, but a man whom the poor consider their protector, while the authorities and mafia circles see him as a threat. The interests of the police, politicians, and criminal authorities converge around him. As this plan develops further, it becomes clearer: on the island, it is almost impossible to separate friendship from calculation, and help from control.
