A young unemployed man becomes Gloria's partner in a dance marathon with a large prize. The participants hardly leave the floor: short breaks, hunger, pain in their legs, insomnia, and the constant attention of the audience become part of the rules. Each couple comes here for their own reason — some are looking for money, others hope to get into the movies, and some simply see no other way to last another week. As the competition progresses, fear, irritation, fatigue, and the hidden cruelty of the show come to the surface.
