Qincheng

The collection of works by Chinese writer Xu Zechen includes two novellas and a short story. The main characters are modern young women, each with her own life, her own sorrows and joys. The author calls them «three sisters»: although their paths never crossed on the pages of the book, they are still connected. Xu Zechen gave his heroines «talking» names: Da Xia — in honor of the ancient state that existed on the territory of China, Ju Yan — in honor of an ancient fortress, and Qincheng — in honor of a mountain peak. Strange at first glance, these names reflect the essence of the heroines, their character, their emotional experiences.
