Birds Fly North

The novella by Andrey Katsev "Birds Fly North" is a strange book that exists in two dimensions, where everything is turned upside down: in the world of Russia in 2024, resembling the land of the dead who pretend to be alive, the ghostly world of the past intrudes into reality — woven from memories, symbols, countercultural homages to the "great nineties", songs of the "Straw Bows" by the campfire of eco-terrorists in retirement, tales of former political activists, and the sound of Bloodhound Gang, and it gradually becomes clear that this is the dream of modern Russia, to which the ghosts of the Other it has destroyed return.
